The 2005 Honda Element is a compact-sized crossover sport utility vehicle that is the first of its kind from Honda. Featuring a 2.4L i-VTEC equipped Inline-4 engine producing 156HP and 160FTLB of torque with an EPA-estimated 19mpg around the city and 23mpg on the highway.
The 2005 Honda Element features no B-Pillars, and instead comes standard with reinforced joints, strengthened lower-side sills, bulkier cross-members, bigger rocker panels along with five bulkheads per side.
The Honda Element is available standard on a front-wheel-drive platform with the optional Real-Time Four-Wheel-Drive system available from Honda which automatically puts power to the rear wheels in the event of the front wheels slipping.
